The Columbia, South Carolina, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Austin Lesane, a devoted father, son, brother, friend, and respected football coach whose life came to a tragic end following an accident on July 10, 2026. He was 44 years old.

Austin Lesane made a lasting impact on countless lives through his commitment to mentoring young athletes and supporting his community. As a coach with Ridge View Blazer Football, he played an instrumental role in helping restore the program into a successful and competitive team under the leadership of Coach Perry Parks. His passion for the game, dedication to his players, and unwavering support of Ridge View Athletics earned him the admiration and respect of fellow coaches, athletes, and families alike.

In a heartfelt tribute, Ridge View Blazer Football expressed its condolences, writing that Coach Lesane “played an important part in restoring Blazer Football into a winning program” and remained a steadfast supporter of Ridge View Athletics throughout the years. The organization noted that his presence would be deeply missed by everyone connected to the program.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours scheduled for Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
